For many years I have known that
when I fail to study God’s word I stop growing.
And when I cease to grow spiritually I start deteriorating.

When I stop climbing or Challenging myself
 I start slipping.
I know I will NEVER arrive spiritually
in this life; as I will always have another
plateau to be reached.

Therefore, I must daily set aside
a quiet time and
a place where I can read
God’s word,
Reflect upon what I have read,
 and
Hear God’s voice for my life.

When I Praise Him daily I am blessed.

I am in Debt

  • I am gratefully in debt to my God, my Savior
    Jesus Christ who is my Redeemer;
He puts meaning into my Life.

  • I am indebted to my parents
    "Buck" & Jean Haag,
who allowed me to have Christian training.

They taught me that life is Giving;

I was taught That
I was born to love and to serve others.

As much as I permit Christ Jesus to live in me,
I can make a difference.
I am ”my brother’s keeper”,
and only when I remember this is my life fulfilled.

  • I am in debt to my church having contributed
    to my nourishment and inspiration.

  • I am in debt to my country (USA) where
I have been able to grow because of the freedom
    of worship and education.
This is a country in which I am free to
    speak criticism if needed,
And show my love through service.

  • I am in debt to my husband
who is fun to live with and
whose desire is to serve the Lord…
He has helped me to grow, and to dream, and to love.

  • I am in debt to my children who have encouraged me
with their understanding, love, and support.

They have inspired me to press on
and put the Lord first in my life.
I pray they will continue to do the same
sharing the Lord’s love with others.

  • I am in debt to my brothers who have never
forgotten me or let me down.
I know they will always be there if I need them.

  • I am grateful for and indebted to friends
    whose love, companionship, & inspiration
are a constant joy and encouragement for my life.

I have so much to be thankful for!

  • I praise My God, My Lord and Savior
who guide me through each day!

  • I love you all!

  • Today is the Best Day of My Life

A Bend In the Road

A Thought to Remember:
"
A Bend in the Road Isn't the End of the Road;
Unless you fail to make the turn."

Sometimes we come to life's crossroads and view what we think is the end,

But God has a much wider vision for he knows it's only a bend.

The road will go on and get smoother and after we've stopped for a rest,

The path that lies hidden beyond us is often the part that's the best!

So rest and relax and grow stronger. let go and let God share your load

and have faith in a brighter tomorrow.
You've just come to a bend in the road.

When the house lights dimmed and the concert

was about to begin, a mother returned to

her seat and discovered that her child was missing!

Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights

focused on the impressive Steinway on stage.

In horror, the mother saw her little
boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out

"Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and

whispered in the boy's ear,

"Don't quit. Keep playing."

Then, leaning over, Paderewski reached

down with his left hand and began filling

in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached

around to the other side of the child,

and he added a running obbligato.

Together, the old master and the young novice

transformed what could have been a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience.

The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what else the great master played, Only the classic,

" Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

Perhaps that's the way it is with God.

What we can accomplish on
our own is hardly noteworthy.

We try our best, but the results aren't always

graceful flowing music. However, with the

hand of the Master, our life's

work can truly be beautiful..

The next time you set out to accomplish great feats,

listen carefully. You may hear the voice of the

Master, whispering in your ear,
"Don't quit." "Keep playing."

May you feel His arms around you and

know that His hands are there, helping you

turn your feeble attempts into true masterpieces.

Remember, God doesn't seem to call the equipped, rather,
He equips the 'called.'
Life is more accurately measured by the lives you touch
than by the things you acquire.

"May God bless you and be with you always! "
