Listening to Benny Goodman and other
popular oldies and watching Others enjoy dancing was fun.
Beaches and Lighthouse at Nawiliwili, Kaua'i are great remembrances. Scenery is awesome. Flowers and Mountains, beaches, resorts.
Now 2007, we still talk of that cruise and Del has added personal comments below as Judy tries to show some of it in pictures. |

"Every opportunity I had I watched the Greatest Show on Earth. It was the most awesome show as The full moon rose over the ocean." Del |
"Every day I watched my favorite show on this ship. It was the full moon rising upon the ocean. The path of light laid out in front of me and led to that heavenly body so far away and yet so close to me." Del |

Fanning Island we met people who have
lived here for centuries. 2 other islands are 10 miles
long and 1 mile wide. Fanning Island is an island around 1,000 miles South of Hawaii. It is part of the Kiribati Republic. It is located on a circular ring of coral that is above the water. Coral is the shell of a living organism. In the center is a shallow lagoon or pool. The water outside the island is very deep. Where the Norwegian Star stood the water was around 3,000 feet deep. Below is the main inlet to the lagoon called "English Harbor". Some ships can go into the harbor. Our ship was too big. In the distance you can see the back side of the island.
