| November 10, 1962 Cindy came into our life this beautiful November morning. She was beautiful and healthy from the first day. She nursed for about 5 days when the Doctors decided she was not getting enough nourishment and began giving her a formula. She immediately began to put on healthy weight. We were still in the hospital as mother had health issues which kept us both confined for two weeks. After arriving home I recall her to be this beautiful baby girl that everyone fell in love with. She had round cherub cheeks with a smile to match, and chubby little arms and legs that begged you to hold and squeeze and kiss her. She had to be fed often so we fed her with and infant-feeding tube. It was much like a pressed cookie dough machine which you could push the cookies out and likewise her pabulum could be squeezed out into a nipple so she didn't have to suck so hard. She put on weight so fast the doctors were amazed so we didn't have to do that very long-term. After only a few weeks she was eating with a spoon. |
