This will be a classic win – win. The Sheriff’s deputies who patrol this area will have a warm place in the winter and a cool place in the summer to stop and write reports, etc. Leisure World will gain added security from their presence when they are here. The space will be available to the Sherriff’s deputies 24/7. I do not anticipate the deputies moving in until the end of August or early September because the new furniture for the Wellness Center will not arrive until then, thus the Wellness Center will not be able to open in its new location until the new furniture arrives. The rest of the space to be vacated by the Wellness Center will be utilized for some much needed storage space for the Finance Department and a small lunch room for staff members. Years ago we used to have a small lunch room but had to give it up in order to support the newspaper operation.
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" ="Msonormal">
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" ="Msonormal">Jon L. Author: 2609rockenhause
Subject: Auto Repair/Auto Body^
Posted: July/26/2010 at 5:26pm

I want to share a brief story about a car repair.

I took my Toyota to Earnharts on Friday for service and I knew that my left
rear tire needed patching, I had picked up a nail. Earnhart called and said
that the nail was in the right front tire and it was too near the sidewall
to fix. I said that I would find my own replacement tire. And I am glad I
did. I spent several hours trying to find the right tire. I went to several
places. At Performance Auto, where I normally go for service, they said the
it would be best to replace it with the same tire that was on the car. This
was for better handling. They suggested that I go to Advanced Auto on Main
just East of Lindsey. Advanced offered a good deal on the same type of tire
but said that he wanted to see if it could be repaired first. The nail was
now in the left front tire (Toyota did rotate the tires). However, it was
right in the center of the tire, an easy fix. He also checked all of the
other tires and the pressure, all of which were wrong. I guess Toyota does
not check the tire pressure on their "Green" service. The best part,
besides not having to pay $100 for a new tire was that he would not accept
any payment. I was also missing a valve cap which he replaced, that was not
even mentioned to me from Toyota.

It is nice for a change to be treated with honesty and respect, at least at
a couple of places.

Harold & Kay Kraver
x2092
